Welcome to the Carmel Valley Middle School 2026–2027 School Year!
Dear CVMS Families,
Welcome to a wonderful new school year! Whether your student is walking through our doors for the very first time or returning for their second year, the CVMS PTSA is absolutely thrilled to partner with you. Middle school is an incredible journey, and we are so glad to share it with your family.
Our mission is simple: to champion our students, empower our amazing teachers, and build a warm, inclusive community where everyone feels welcome. Thanks to family support, we are able to fund teacher mini-grants for vital classroom supplies, host memorable community events, and advocate for our kids every single day. But the true heart of our PTSA is you—we simply cannot do it without our incredible village!
We would love for you to join us in the PTSA Association this year. By jumping on board, you will:
Stay in the Loop: Get the inside scoop on school news, principal updates, and district changes so you always know what’s happening.
Make a Real Difference: Your membership and donations directly fund the student programs, teacher grants, and campus improvements that make CVMS thrive.

How You Can Get Involved

Join the PTSA!
The PTSA will have three upcoming opportunities to learn about membership and ways to get involved. We appreciate any and all participation and would love to get you involved!
August 4 ~ New Student Orientation and Family Social
- Student and Parent Orientation, 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM / PTSA Family Social, 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
August 10 ~ “Mosey Monday”
- 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Familiarize yourself with campus, purchase PE clothes and spirit wear, and pick up Chromebooks.
August 11 ~ 1st Day of School & PTSA “1st Day Jitters” Coffee
7:45 – 8:45 AM, After student drop off, come to the Performing Arts Center (PAC) for coffee and conversation with other parents and the PTSA.
Chromebook PickUp
SDUHSD provides a district-issued Chromebook for each student. CVMS students/parents may come to campus on one of the days listed below to pick up their Chromebook before the first day of school:
7/31 ~ 9:00 AM – 11:00 PM
8/3 ~ 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
8/4 ~ 5:30 – 7:00 (at the Family Social)
8/7 ~ 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
8/10 ~ 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (during Mosey Monday)

Bobcat Fridays
EVERY Friday is Bobcat Friday! Students who wear their Bobcat spirit wear on Fridays will be eligible to win prizes, attend special events, and earn special privileges. If you are interested in skipping the lines to purchase spirit wear at our on campus events, you can order online through our CVMS Webstore and pick up your merchandise at Orientation and/or Mosey Monday!
